The Prayer Room is designed to be a place where we reflect Revelation 5:8. In this scripture, the harp symbolizes worship, while the bowls symbolize the prayers of the saints. This is a heavenly picture of the power behind the combination of worship and intercession.
Our prayer sets are divided into three different categories:
WORSHIP WITH THE WORD SETS
The purpose behind this set is to agree with God's Word, and sing it back to Him. The worship leader will select pre-chosen passages of scripture and begin to sing them and as revelation is released, a fresh song will arise based off of the truth of the scriptures. At times, participants may also receive an opportunity to read and declare the scripture and the worship leader may respond in song.
This set provides a "soaking" atmosphere and a time for our hearts to be refreshed in intimacy with the Father. Enjoy the presence of the Lord through journaling, personal prayer, reading the Word, or however you choose to engage with the Lord. During this set the worship leader, will worship freely through either structured songs, spontaneous songs, instrumental, or singing the scriptures.
The room is invited to engage in these "targeted intercession" sets. During these sets the Prayer Leader or Worship Leader may encourage active participation from the room, with the prayer topic being prayed for. Prayer topics can range from praying for personal /corporate revival to praying for widespread systemic justice-related issues such as the ending of abortion and sex-trafficking. We may at times also facilitate cycles of “rapid fire prayer” when intercessors go to the microphone to pray a succession of 30-second prayers on a specific theme. The worship leader may respond to the prayers through song.
All are welcome to come and go freely when the Prayer Room is open. You may sit, stand, or pace up and down the aisles. Whatever you do, we ask that you do it in a manner that honors and serves the other people in the room.
